J.C Tackleway Match Preview

(January 13, 2016)

Sidley United are due to return to action this Saturday after a prolonged Christmas break with a home league game against The J.C Tackleway.

With games against Old Hastonians before Christmas and Ticehurst last week both postponed due to the weather, Sidley are chomping at the bit to maintain the winning run we were on.

Standing in our way this Saturday is J.C Tackleway. The sides met earlier in the season in a game Sidley won 3 - 1, coming from a goal behind to win with goals from Ashley Elphick, James Bailey and Simon Corke.

Tackleway are ensconced in mid table with 2 wins from 6 league games so far this campaign. They have scored 15 but conceded 20 goals, although they sit 4th in the table despite this.

However whether the same players are still representing them remains to be seen this week. Their last match saw them go down 5 - 0 to Eastbourne Rangers.

As for Sidley the break has allowed injuries to heal and Gary Hempe is set to return to the squad following his recent lay off. Most players are available as the boys strive to make it 10 wins from 10 in the league.

Kick off at Hooe Rec is 2pm. Come on you Blues!
