Battle Baptists Match Preview

Sidley United travel to Battle Baptists this Saturday as they look to continue their good start to life in the ESFL Premier Division. 

The Blues were victorious in their opening game last week, coming away from Hawkhurst with a 3 - 2 win, although the match should have been more comfortable than the scoreline suggests. 

Battle also come into the game with 3 points from their opening 2 fixtures.  After seeing off Robertsbridge United on the opening day, they went down to a late goal to lose 1 - 0 to Eastbourne Rangers last week.

They were the league runners up last season and look sure to be another stiff test with some former Sidley players amongst their squad. For the Blues, important players Chris Sanderson and Ian May are set to return to the squad.

Kick off at Battle Rec is 3.00pm and the referee is Carl Hollobone. Come along and support the boys as they look to continue their good start.
