Westfield II Match Preview
(September 28, 2016)
Sidley United take on Westfield II this Saturday looking for a positive response after suffering back to back defeats for the first time in over a year.
After starting the season with a good win at Hawkhurst United, Blues have since lost narrow matches against Battle Baptists and Ore Athletic. In both games, Sidley had a good amount of possession and chances but couldn't make enough of them to get a result.
Westfield II come into the game with a neat identical record to us. They won on the opening day, beating Rock A Nore 3 - 2 before a 5 - 0 reverse to Robertsbridge United and a 2 - 1 defeat to Hawkhurst.
They have scored 4 goals this season, one of them coming from ex-Blue Anthony Briscoe. They have a talented squad and as Blues are discovering, every game is a tough one in this league. The taking of chances is going to be vitally important if the Blues are to come away with the points.
Arron Scrace is set to return to the squad, but Blues will be without Dan Hill following his retirement this week due to injury.
Kick off at Hooe Rec is 3pm and our referee is Sam Mills. Your support is appreciated.
