Saturday Round Up
(November 13, 2016)
Saturday's results have helped Sidley rise up the table to fifth after our match at home to Rock A Nore was conceded by the visitors.
The Rocks are clearly struggling and we hope that they can regroup and at least compete for the rest of the season. The 8 players who showed up today deserve respect for at least making the effort.
In other matches played today leaders Hollington United dispatched Westfield II by a 2 - 0 scoreline as they went 3 points clear at the top of the table.
A surprise score line came out of Ore as Battle Baptists came away with an emphatic 7 - 1 win against an Ore Athletic side who had only lost once before today. We welcome Battle next week and on this evidence it will be a tough match. That result moved us above Ore on goal difference.
Finally Sedlescombe Rangers claimed a 5 - 4 win away at Robertsbridge United, allowing them to jump above their hosts.
A week off action for the Blues allows a few knocks to clear up and hopefully allows a fully fit squad to get ready for our next match against Battle Baptists.
