Hollington United Match Preview
(November 24, 2016)
Sidley United take on league leaders Hollington United on Saturday as they seek a return to winning ways after last week's defeat by Battle Baptists.
On paper they couldn't have a more difficult task as they travel to a Hollington side who have won all 8 of their league matches this season, scoring 26 goals and conceding just 5.
However the Blues have come closer than anyone to taking points from them so far, after an injury time goal saw Hollington clinch a 2 - 1 win at Hooe Rec earlier in the season.
Sidley were more than worthy of at least a point that day and will take heart from that performance but they will also know they must keep the concentration levels high from the first whistle to the last in order to get a result.
Last week the Blues went in front early on against Battle Baptists and dominated the opening half hour but eventually succumbed to defeat with defensive mistakes contributing to the result.
Hollington enjoyed a 5 - 1 victory away at Eastbourne Rangers last week, a tough place to go. They have players with highs level experience and regardless of Saturday's result must be considered one of the favourites to win the Premier Division this season.
Kick off at Gibbons Field is 2pm and the referee is Sam Mills. Come along and support the boys.
