Sedlescombe Rangers Match Preview
(February 16, 2017)
It's third against fourth this weekend as Sidley United travel to Sedlescombe Rangers looking to maintain an unbeaten run since the turn of the year.
Blues claimed an excellent victory over Battle Baptists in the Hastings FA Intermediate Cup last weekend with second half goals from James Bailey and Sean Baldwin. This followed on from the 5 - 0 thumping of Ore Athletic.
Sedlescombe narrowly lost out to Hollington United in the same cup last weekend but come into the game just 2 points below the Blues with 3 games in hand. Blues will probably need the three points if they hope to finish above Rangers in the final league table.
The two sides met earlier in the season where Rangers claimed a 2 - 1 victory at Hooe Rec in December. However Blues are unbeaten since that game, claiming 3 wins and 2 draws.
Sedlescombe's danger man is Philip Hatch who has 14 league goals to his name this term. Blues will need to continue their recent resolute defending if they are to come away with the points.
Kick off at Oaklands Park is at 2.00pm and the referee is Jessica Storrie. Come along and cheer on the boys.
