Eastbourne Rangers Match Preview
(February 22, 2017)
Sidley United welcome Eastbourne Rangers to Hooe Rec this Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten run to 7 games.
Blues come into the match 3rd in the table following last week's 1 - 1 draw at Sedlescombe Rangers. Sidley will feel slightly disappointed to only come away with a point in a game with 2 bizarre penalties but that is also a mark of how far Blues have come in recent months.
Rangers come into the game off the back of a 4 - 1 defeat to Battle Baptists in the cup last week, having had to field a depleted side. As ever, player availability can strongly affect the performance of a side so it remains to be seen which players they have available this weekend. However prior to that they have won their last 3 league matches.
The two sides met earlier in the season when Blues recovered from going behind after a minute to claim a 1 - 1 draw through an Ashley Elphick strike. Rangers come into the game 4 points behind Blues but with 4 games still in hand.
Sidley will have just 3 league games remaining after the game and do not play again until the Hastings FA Cup Semi Final at home to Hollington United on March 11th.
Kick off is 2.00pm and the referee is Jeremy Kendall. Refreshments will be available. Come along and cheer on the boys.
