Hawkhurst United Match Preview
(March 23, 2017)
Sidley United welcome Hawkhurst to Hooe Rec this weekend as they look to follow up last week's 3 - 1 win over Westfield II with another victory.
That win for the Blues gave them some breathing space in 3rd place in the table but a number of teams still have games in hand and are not that far off - and one of those sides is Hawkhurst.
The visitors come into the game 4 points behind Sidley but with 4 games in hand and so it would appear that any remote chance the Blues have of finishing above the visitors would require a victory on Saturday.
Hawkhurst ran out 5 - 1 winners in their last outing against basement side Rock A Nore and have 2 players among the top of the goalscorers charts - Daniel Mcgahan with 11 and Thomas Mcclintock with 9 so Blues will need to be at their best defensively to keep them quiet.
The two sides met at The Moor early in the season in Blues' opening match in the Premier Division and came out on top 3 - 2 in a game where they won 2 penalties, converted by Gary Hempe with Jordan Cole completing the scoring.
Kick off is 3pm and the referee is Jeremy Kendall.
Following this game the Blues have one remaining game at home to St Leonards Social on April 8th. Come along and cheer the boys on.
