UPDATE

(March 19, 2020)

Following the recent suspension of all grassroots football, the Mid Sussex Football League have announced their plans with regards to the conclusion of the 2019/20 football season.

The league have declared that if fixtures are unable to resume on April 4th, then the leagues for this season will be scrapped.

However, to determine final positions the league's plan is to award teams points based on average points per games earned so far for all remaining fixtures. Titles and promotions will be awarded based on this process.

Therefore, should the season not resume then Sidley United will be awarded the Championship title and promotion to the Premier Division.

The Mowatt Cup, which Sidley United were in the Semi Final of, has been scrapped along with all other cup competitions. Even if fixtures do resume on April 4th, the cup competitions will not take place.

Further news will come as and when we receive it.
