Reserves Edged out at Ringmer

The reserves under the new management of Jamie Podmore & Lawrence Brand opened up there league season with a visit to Ringmer at an immaculate looking Caburn Ground.

The Blue's side showing many changes from last season were unlucky to be on the end of a 3-2 scoreline against a youthful host side who we will up there at the top end come the end of the season.

Sloppy defending allowed Ringmer to take a two goal lead in the first half although a Dan Hill penalty reduced the deficit on the stroke of half time.

Into the second half and the blues failed to clear a corner and Ringmer restored there 2 goal advantage.

The Introduction of Sam Hesmer and Martin Denny gave the visitors a different dimension and it was Denny who struck with 10 minutes remaining, and despite constant pressure on the Ringmer goal Sidley could not turn the pressure into a deserved equalizing goal.
