Another home win for Blues

The changes to the team didn't affect Sidley United today as they picked up a consecutive home win, beating Lingfield 2 - 0 at the Gullivers today.

Sidley took the lead when the referee awarded a penalty after the defender was adjuged to have been holding Terry Payne at a corner. Adam Day stepped up to place the ball in the top corner and give Sidley the lead.

Payne himself doubled the lead ten minutes later as he cut in and unleashed a left foot shot which went unnderneath the goalkeeper.

In the second half, Sidley had more chances to add to the score but couldn't find the third goal.

Sidley Team: Killick, Chandler, Rea, Whiteman, Morris, Russell, Harding (Miles), Day, Hales, Taylor, Payne (Denny).
