Reserves struggle past the Rocks

The Reserves made hard work of progressing into the next round of the Hastings Intermediate Cup as they produced arguably their worst performance of the season in the penalty shoot out victory over Rock a Nore from the East Sussex Premier Division.

The Blues were thankful to Adam Winters in goal who pulled of a number of excellent stops, including a second half penalty save. Stuart Collier had put the visitors ahead latching onto Shea Kelly's superb through Ball.

Asher Grindle scored the Blues second goal but went onto miss one of the penalties in the shoot out along with Grant Payne, those successful were Sam Hesmer, Josh Elliot-Noye and Carl Morris. It was left to Winters to cap his man of the match performance with yet another penalty save to the delight of his team mates.
