Sidley battle back to earn a point

Sidley United came from behind to earn a 1 - 1 draw against a decent Peacehaven & Telscombe team tonight.

The Blues started slowly and Peacehaven took the lead after just 5 minutes when a looping header from Rob O'Toole dropped over Harry Killick and into the net. Peacehaven had chances to double the lead but failed to convert them.

In the second half, the Blues were much improved and equalised on 59 minutes when debutant right back Leeroy Short headed in an Andy Hales free kick. Sidley gradually got on top and could have won it at the death but Dadswell's volley sailed over.

Sidley Team: Killick, Short, Morris (Bird), Rea, Cruikshank, Michaels, Dadswell, Hales, Taylor (Denny), Payne, Miles (Barden).
