Blues win Hailsham friendly
(August 02, 2011)
Sidley United continued their pre-season with a 2 - 0 victory away at Hailsham Town tonight.
The Blues took the lead just before half time when Danny Spice scrambled home a header with the assistant referee judging the ball had crossed the line.
Scott McDonald, who had just come back onto the pitch seconds before, made it 2 - 0 with a cool slotted finish past the home goalkeeper.
Hailsham did strike the woodwork twice but Sidley missed other opportunities to widen the margin of victory.
Next up for the Blues is Seaford Town on Saturday with a 4.00pm kick off.
Sidley Team: Bourne, Chandler (Cody), C Morris (Mitiadou), Cruikshank, Spice, Tuppeney (Agutter), Munday, McDonald (Barden), Taylor (Bird), Payne (Hole), S Morris.
