Sidley take dramatic Pagham win
(August 19, 2012)
Sidley United picked up a marvellous 3 points at Pagham, winning in the most dramatic way with a 91st minute winner from Chris Gould to win 3 - 2.
Typically, Blues don't do it the easy way. They were 2 - 0 up at the break with goals from Matt Darby and Gould. Pagham were also down to 10 men following a dubious challenge from one of their players.
But in the second half Pagham rallied and pulled one back through what appeared to be an own goal before equalising with a penalty. However, Sidley dusted themselves down and went on to get the winner, Gould's second of the game sneaking in from a tight angle.
A fabulous three points for the Blues ahead of another tough game against Ringmer on Tuesday night at the Caburn Ground.
