Defensive frailties cost Sidley again
(October 03, 2012)
Sidley United's defensive woes continued as they were edged out 3 - 2 at St Francis Rangers.
The Blues found themselves two down at the interval as goals from Charlie Pitcher and Aaron Welsh put St Francis in control. Sidley found the rallying spirit that was lacking on Saturday and got back into the game through an Andy Hales goal on the hour mark.
And they looked like getting something out of the game when Dan Cruikshank levelled on 86 minutes to make the scoreline 2 - 2. But just two minutes later Andy Mott ensured that the home side took all three points.
