Sidley progress with comfortable win at Green
(October 31, 2015)
Partridge Green I 0 - 3 Sidley United - Sussex FA Junior Cup
Sidley United progressed in this cup competition with a comfortable win at West Sussex side Partridge Green I.
The Blues came into the game on the back of an impressive run of form and it didn't take long for them to replicate that form against a side top of Division Four North in the West Sussex League.
Lee Roberts scored after 7 minutes to put Blues in front and he doubled his and Sidley's tally with a second goal on 20 minutes to give Sidley a 2 goal cushion at the break and they never looked like surrendering that.
James Bailey made the game safe just 2 minutes into the second period with the third goal and although Sidley created numerous opprtunities they had to settle for a 3 - 0 win in the end.
The Blues reward is a home for against AFC Hastings on December 5th, meaning Sidley will face them in all 3 cup competitions they entered this season.
Sidley now have another weekend off before returning to league action at home to Wadhurst United on November 14th.
Sidley Team: Rogers, May (Godden), Hempe, Funnell, Eldridge, Carey, Sanderson, Cochrane (Day), Bailey, Corke (Scrace), Roberts
