Wadhurst United Match Preview
(November 11, 2015)
This Saturday we host Wadhurst United in a league encounter with a kick off of 2.00pm.
Blues go into the match top of the table with a maximum 18 points from 18. Last time out Sidley saw off Partridge Green I 3 - 0 in the Sussex FA Junior Cup.
Following the withdrawal of Sovereign Saints last week Wadhurst United lost the point they gained in their 3 - 3 draw against them and so are now back on 0 points with 4 defeats this season.
In our early season encounter Sidley came away 2 - 1 winners with Mark Funnell and Gary Tempe scoring the Blues goals. Sidley did have to weather a late storm though to hold on for the win and so should not underestimate Wadhurst based purely on the league table. Indeed in their last outing Wadhurst see off Premier Division St Leonard's Social 4 - 0 in the Birchwood Challenge Cup so perhaps the roots of recovery are beginning for Wadhurst.
Should Sidley come away with the 3 points however they will sit a minimum 9 points clear at the top of the table having played 7 matches of 21, following the league's decision for teams to face each other 3 times this season as opposed to twice.
Kick off at Hope is at 2.00pm. Come along and support the boys in their quest to keep the winning run going.
