Ticehurst Match Preview

(November 25, 2015)

Saturday sees Ticehurst visit the Blues in league action as Blues look to make it 8 wins from 8.

Ticehurst come into the game having suffered a 4 - 2 home loss to Wadhurst United last time out. They sit 6th in the table with 2 wins and 4 defeats from their 6 league games so far. They look like a side who produce plenty of goals at both ends in games; having scored 20 and conceded 25 so far.

Meanwhile the Blues enjoyed a 6 - 1 win over AFC Hastings in the Hastings FA Junior Cup last week and have a maximum 21 points from 7 league games. Lee Roberts bagged a hat trick and goals from Arron Scrace (2) and Mark Funnell have Sidley their most comfortable win of the season.

However 2 of our league points came as a bonus from this week's visitors. In the opening game of the season, Sidley drew 1 - 1 away at Ticehurst, having been denied by a string of top saves from Ryan Hunt.

However it was soon discovered that Hunt was not registered to play in the game and as such Sidley were awarded the points.

If Sidley can take the points they have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table ahead of two more encounters against AFC Hastings.

Kick off at Hooe is at 2pm.
