Saturday round up

(December 19, 2015)

With Sidley United's match away to second placed Old Hastonians postponed, both Crowhurst and Eastbourne Rangers had the chance to close the gap somewhat as they met. Eastbourne Rangers took the lead with a direct free kick before doubling that lead with a strike which took a wicked deflection.

Crowhurst pulled a goal back but a late Rangers penalty which was converted meant that Eastbourne Rangers came away 3 - 1 winners and moved to within a point of Old Hastonians.

The other game in the Division was awarded to AFC Hastings as Wadhurst United were unable to raise a side.

This means that Sidley go into the Christmas break 11 points clear at the top and still with a perfect league record in tact. Blues are back in action on January 9th away to Ticehurst in the Sussex FA Junior Cup.

Sidley United wishes all supporters, players and rivals a merry Christmas and we will see you in January.
