Midway Match Preview

Sidley United return to action looking for a response to last weekend's defeat to Eastbourne Rangers as they take on Midway 1948 FC in the Quarter Finals of the Sussex FA Cup.

Blues suffered their first league loss of the campaign last week despite taking a 2nd minute lead as Rangers scored 5 and indoing so cut the Blues' lead at the top of the table to 3 points.

They will want a swift and positive response to that setback as they seek a place in the semi finals of this cup competition against Midway.

Midway play in Division One East of the Brighton District League. Last week they booked their place in this tie by seeing off our groundsharers Hooe Sports 2 - 0 after extra time. They have lost just once in their league in 8 matches, winning 6 and scoring 36 goals in the process.

If the Blues prevail they would be at home in the semi finals to either Woodingdean Wanderers or Burwash who also play on Saturday.

Kick off at Victoria Rec, Portslade is 1.30pm. Come on you Blues!
