J.C Tackleway Match Preview
(February 17, 2016)
Sidley return to league action this Saturday as they take on The J.C. Tackleway in a game moved to Bexhill Road, pitch 1.
Tackleway were among the victims of the weather last week and so their last outing was a 2 - 0 defeat to Old Hastonians. They are a side who have had some personnel changes this season and appear more competitive in recent weeks so Blues will need to be on it from the start to get the win.
This will be the third meeting between the sides this season. Blues won 3 - 1 at Barley Lane, recovering from a goal down and they won 1 - 0 in the home fixture in a tight game which Tackleway could easily have taken something from.
Sidley got back to winning ways last week as they saw off Midway 1948 FC to reach the semi finals of the Sussex FA Junior Cup with goals from Arron Scrace, Mark Funnell and Aaron Cochrane.
The league has bunched up recently with Eastbourne Rangers 3 points behind us at the top of the table and Old Hastonians slightly further back but with games in hand and Crowhurst also harbouring title ambitions. Rangers are away to Ticehurst and Crowhurst visit Wadhurst United on Saturday so Sidley will be keen to take the 3 points to at least maintain their lead.
The game kicks off at 2.00pm, hopefully the weather stays good and the game will go ahead.
