ESFL Premier Division Preview
(May 02, 2016)
With promotion now confirmed, Sidley can look forward to meeting the following teams in ESFL Premier Division next season. League reshuffles in the summer may mean one or two changes but provisionally Sidley can look forward to matches against:
Peche Hill Select - Premier Division champions who have gone through the entire current campaign unbeaten, the only team in all 6 divisions to do so.
Battle Baptists - Runners Up this season following a mid table finish in their debut campaign in 2014-15. A tough place to go to.
Ore Athletic - Third placed finish last season and this season. Challenged at the top for majority of the campaign.
Robertsbridge United - Finished bottom last season but avoided relegation due to league restructuring. Better campaign this time, finishing fourth.
St Leonard's Social - Last season's champions will be disappointed to have finished fifth. They will be looking to challenge again next year.
Hollington United - Champions in 2013/14 and runners up last year. A tougher year this year for them but always a tough outfit.
Hawkhurst United - Last year's Division One champions have finished mid table this year and possess a lethal scorer in Daniel Mitchell, current top scorer in Prem.
Sedlescombe Rangers - Won Division One in 2013-14 and had decent finishes in the Premier since.
Eastbourne Rangers - Barring a ridiculous final day, Rangers will join us in the Premier as runners up. Tough opponent, especially on the 3G pitch.
This is based purely on the assumption that Rock A Nore and Mountfield United will be relegated and only 2 teams will be promoted from Division One. As such changes could still be made to the Premier Division for next season.
